Principal delivery and innovation partner since 2020 on the Cabinet Office's strategic cross-government data platform. Four Seals Digital shaped GRID from Alpha through to Live service, engineering a composable, serverless-first architecture that now powers 100+ dashboards and ingests millions of records per day, from sensitive workforce metrics to publicly published inquiry data.
Recently extended to support the Cabinet Office's newly established AI Hub, with Salesforce and GOV.UK Notify integrations, attribute-based access controls, and a 'Golden Thread' framework linking recruitment strategy to operational outcomes across the Civil Service.
Migrated three mission-critical national services, Collaborate, JOL and Maps, from legacy private data centres to AWS London, under strict UK-sovereignty and Official-Sensitive controls. The platform is used 24/7/365 by emergency responders across the UK, so zero downtime was non-negotiable.
Delivery covered programme and technical project management, AWS solution design, Terraform-based infrastructure-as-code, a new AWS Cognito authentication layer, and real-time performance dashboards. The Cabinet Office publicly showcased the migration in its blog "Future-proofing the ResilienceDirect service by migrating to public cloud."
Re-platformed a large central-government intranet from WordPress to Wagtail on Django, and reimagined the design across mobile, tablet and desktop. We preserved every editor group and approval workflow while cutting the attack surface, killing off redundant accounts, and shipping new capability, event calendars, watchlists, a simplified form builder and smart NLP-powered search.
The result: a lean, secure, low-maintenance CMS with predictable upgrade paths and ~60% lower hosting and infrastructure costs than the previous WordPress estate.
